Compressed Cylinders brings colour to the environment as a moving work of abstract art.
The installation compressed cylinders shows five different inflatables interacting with each other and the environment. The glass container holds the smoothly moving colourful blow ups in place. The space fills up with colour when the shapes inflate and show a new perspective on the composition as they deflate. The five colours in different proportions support each other, providing a different view on the composition from every angle of the installation.
Standing free in the public space, Compressed Cylinders brings colour to the environment as a moving work of abstract art. This installation is commissioned by BlowUp Art Den Haag 2023 and exhibited in Museumkwartier Den Haag from May 5th till May 28th. The second edition of BlowUp Art The Hague is a collection of 6 big scale inflatablesdesigned specifically for a location by national and international artists. The six temporary blow-up artworks will show the city sights in a different context.
